SAFETY

Our first priority - always

Every single member of our team lives and works by one rule:
L.J. Rogers NEVER compromises on safety

The safety of your loads, our drivers, and the public is overseen by our full-time safety director who is responsible for ensuring that we all work to the most rigorous safety standards and that DOT regulations are strictly enforced.

Our Drivers

L.J. Rogers drivers are safe and trustworthy drivers. Before they are hired, they must pass a rigorous screening process that includes their driving, work and criminal records. It doesn’t stop there. all our drivers are closely monitored and receive continuous training in safe driving techniques from a certified safety instructor. They are regularly quizzed on the safety procedures and road speed limits they must follow when travelling throughout the country.

Drivers are rewarded with company incentives for superior safety performance.

Our Fleet

We operate a young modern fleet. The equipment we run is always late model and inspected by qualified, safety-trained mechanics on a regular basis to ensure its safe operation when hauling freight from our customers to various destinations throughout the United States.

Our Commitment

Safety is not an afterthought at LJ Rogers, nor do we regard it as an expense or a hassle. We all work with heavy, powerful equipment on and off the road every single day. Apart from the fact that we like staying alive and well (!) we take our responsibilities to our customers, our colleagues and the general public very seriously. Regardless of rules and regulations we watch out for each other and hold ourselves and our co-workers to the best practices and highest standards both onsite and on the road.

We take great pride in our low accident and low cargo claims ratios and SafeStat scores that are higher than the national average. We’ve also earned the highest safety rating awarded by the DOT.

Our company carries a Satisfactory safety rating with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT#310011) since our last compliance review of August 12, 2002.
